I decided I hate money and got into Magic: The Gathering. Yes, the physical card game.
My physio (who also happens to be a friend) convinced me to give it a try. I started with MTG: Arena, the digital version, liked it, and then asked him for recommendations on how to get started. He recommended this deck for the Standard format, and I've been waiting for all my cards to arrive.
When I get them, I'll join him in a store in Belgium called La Guilde (The Guild), where they meet up every other week to play tournaments, and more.
Collecting cards, trading with others, playing against people, socializing, and doing something offline: Being an extroverted nerd, this is right up my alley.
I used to play Yu-Gi-Oh as a kid, but now having access to adult money makes this hobby much easier to get into... and much more expensive.
I'm also interested in Commander (which he doesn't play), but for that, I need three other friends who play, which, as it happens, isn't that easy in Luxembourg.
But I joined a local Discord, and I'll probably join one of their meet-ups whenever I have created a deck for that format. And if you are from Luxembourg, and want to play, get in touch.
