I went for a run

Sometime last year, I shared my plans to start a hybrid athlete-style workout routine.

I didn’t follow through. Work was a mess (more on that soon), and squeezing in three sessions a week was already a stretch, let alone five. But things have calmed down, so the hybrid plan is back on.

Yesterday, I went for my first run in… basically ever. Managed 3.2 km at an 8:19/km pace over 27 minutes. Still slow as hell, and keeping my heart rate in Zone 2 is a struggle — I drift into lower Zone 3 most of the time.

But hey, progress is progress!
